First let me just say I love Miss Giada, and her family is so wonderful to have as neighbors and friends. I normally don’t do events for a couple of reasons. I like to be in control of lighting situations to a point, and also love flexibility to think on my feet and mix it up when I am capturing families, which typically with a coordinated event like a baptism is difficult to do. {Cannot interrupt and say, “Father I am getting some color cast and racoon eyes, can you move to the left?”} But I’ve captured all of the Virgillio family milestones so I couldn’t pass this up. And even with the large extended family and all the kiddos running around, we were able to get the group shots! Minimal headswapping in photoshop too!! Woot woot!!

We are also parishoners at St. Francis Xavier in La Grange, plus had our son baptized there a few weeks before, so I had a good grasp on the lighting and the ceremony ahead of time. I did keep most of the ceremony private since that is special for the family, but I was able to include some of the wonderful family shots we took before all the festivities started.
